HB 1702 Has Passed the Senate

On Tuesday, May 20th, HB 1702 sailed through the Illinois Senate. with 42 out of 59 votes. Time is short. We are so close to achieving the alternative pension formula after all these years of fighting for it. Call your State Representative TODAY. Let them know that you are a Tollway employee living in their district and ask them to co-sponsor HB 1702. Local 73 has stepped up our efforts in Springfield to persuade every single one of the 118 State Representatives. But the most effective way to win them over is a call from a voter like you, someone in their district asking for the pension justice they deserve.

1)  Go to civicfootprint.org, and, by entering your address, you'll find out who your elected representatives are.
2) Call the Illionis Board of Elections at (217) 782-4141. They can look up your elected officials using your address. It helps to be able to give them your zip + four.
