UIC Clerical/Administrative Update & Protest Slideshow

I
know it has been several weeks since a regular update. We lost time after the
death of Greg Parran, UIC's chief negotiator for the clerical/administrative
bargaining.
Last week, there was a bargaining session for the
clerical/administrative contract. At that meeting, the parties were in
agreement in being willing to have a federal mediator to assist in moving the
bargaining along. We will meet again tomorrow to see if we can get any closer
before going to the mediator.
At the same time as the negotiations were
happening on the 14th, Contract Action Team members travelled to Springfield to
attend the Board of Trustees meeting. Check out this slide show and audio file

Technical workers are waiting for a response back from management about
getting a session scheduled next week.
